January-February chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing value-added growth of 9.5% year-on-year
On March 17, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) released data that in January-February, the value-added of industries above designated size increased by 5.9% year-on-year in real terms . Among them, the oil and gas mining industry grew 0.9% year-on-year; chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry grew 9.5% year-on-year.

On January 27, 2025, Professor Jiang Hui's team at Peking University First Hospital published a research paper in the authoritative materials science journalACS Nano, titled "Polylactic acid micro/nanoplastic exposure induces male reproductive toxicity by disrupting spermatogenesis and mitochondrial dysfunction in mice." This study for the first time revealed the reproductive toxicity of PLA micro/nanoplastics (PLA-MP/NP) in male mice, suggesting that the toxic mechanisms may be similar to those of traditional petroleum-based microplastics.
